Drop-Ins: Open Practice and Learning

The Art of Meditation

Learning and Deepening a Skillful Meditation Practice

"Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.
~ Buddha

No prior experience is necessary to join us. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, everyone is welcome to participate. These drop-ins are held every Tuesday morning in-person or online (Zoom). There is no need to register in advance. Simply show up and join us in cultivating a sense of inner peace and clarity.

Meditation is a skill — one that develops with practice, patience, and good guidance. This weekly drop-in is a place to learn that skill from the ground up, or to deepen a practice you’ve already begun.

Each Tuesday, we practice together with guided mindfulness meditations, explore techniques for working with the body, breath, and mind, and discuss how to bring what we learn on the cushion into the rest of our lives. The teaching draws from both traditional Buddhist and modern mindfulness-based approaches, and there’s always time for questions.

Who it’s for: All levels. No prior experience needed.

In this program, you’ll be invited to:

  • Develop and refine a formal meditation practice with skilled guidance
  • Learn practical techniques for working with restlessness, distraction, and discomfort
  • Explore how meditation can support clarity, well-being, and genuine ease in daily life
